Botox vs. Dysport vs. Jeuveau: How to Choose
June 12, 2026 · By Paige Erickson, DNP, FNP-C

Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau are all neuromodulators — injectables that relax targeted facial muscles to soften lines and wrinkles. They're more alike than different, but there are nuances worth knowing. Here's how our injectors at Ren Aesthetics & Wellness in Ogden, UT think about them.
What they have in common
All three use a form of botulinum toxin to temporarily relax muscles that cause expression lines — like forehead lines, frown lines (the '11s'), and crow's feet. Treatment takes minutes, with little to no downtime, and results typically last about three to four months.
The subtle differences
- Dysport tends to spread a bit more, which can be an advantage for larger areas like the forehead.
- Jeuveau is a newer, aesthetics-focused option many clients respond to well.
- Botox is the most well-known and time-tested of the three.
- Onset can vary slightly — some clients feel one kicks in a touch faster than another.
So which one should you get?
Honestly, the product matters less than the injector. Results come down to an artful, conservative technique and the right dose placed in the right muscles for your face. We'll recommend the option that fits your goals and how you've responded to treatments in the past — so your results look like you, just more rested.

All three are safe, effective neuromodulators with similar results. The 'best' one depends on the area treated and how you respond — and far more on the skill of your injector than the brand.
Neuromodulator results typically last about three to four months. With regular treatment, some clients find their results last a little longer over time.
Most clients describe only brief, minor discomfort from the tiny needle. Treatment takes just a few minutes with no real downtime.
