Both remove hair from the root for smooth, long-lasting results. Sugaring uses an all-natural paste applied and removed in the direction of hair growth, which can mean less irritation and fewer ingrown hairs — our preferred technique for most clients.
About a quarter inch (roughly two to three weeks of growth) gives the best grip and cleanest results. Avoid shaving in between so the hair is long enough to remove.
Because hair is removed at the root, most clients stay smooth for about 3–6 weeks. Regular appointments can lead to finer, sparser regrowth over time.
There's a quick sensation as hair is removed, but most clients find it very manageable — and sugaring's gentler, growth-direction technique helps minimize discomfort.
